Madeleine Eastoe City Adult Ballet Guest Teacher

Madeleine Eastoe

Guest Teacher

Madeleine began dancing at the age of six in Perth, Western Australia. She moved across to Melbourne to join the Australian Ballet School graduating in 1996, accepting her first professional contract at The Australian Ballet company in 1997.

Madeleine, with her natural flair for storytelling on stage as well as her clean and precise technique, rose through the ranks quickly and was promoted to Principal Artist in 2004, following her performance of the principal role in Maina Gielgud’s production of Giselle.
Of her many highlights, Madeleine has a fondness for Graeme Murphy’s, Swan Lake, Sir Peter Wright’s Nutcracker, Alexi Ratmansky’s Cinderella, as well as the collection of works by Australian choreographer, Steven Baynes, many of which were created on her. Madeleine retired from The Australian Ballet performing another of her favourite roles, Giselle, in 2015.

We are delighted to have Madeleine as a regular guest teacher at City Adult Ballet sharing her love of dance, quick wit, and beautifully structured classes with our adult dancers.
